If you drink more water, it will help you lose weight.

Water is one of the biggest keys to weight loss success! If you only take

one thing away from this site, make sure you take this bit of advice with

you.

Water makes up more that 80% of your body, and almost every process

and chemical reaction that your body makes, uses water. Water carries

nutrients to your body, helps to get rid of toxins and waste, helps your

body maintain a healthy temperature, and regulates your ph.

Drinking water is also vital to maintaining healthy kidney function, which

will spike your liver’s efficiency at burning fat. When your body doesn’t

have enough water, your liver has to help your kidneys get rid of all the

wastes and toxins that your body produces. This takes away from the

time your liver could be turning your fat into usable energy. Studies have

proven that not drinking enough water leads to fat retention of the body

and results in less fat being used as energy.

Water is an appetite suppressant.

Another benefit of drinking lots if water is that water is actually an

appetite suppressant. Many times people mistake thirst for hunger, as

hunger is a side effect of being dehydrated. Water also helps give your

stomach a “full” feeling. A good tip to help you lose weight is whenever

you feel hungry, drink a glass or a bottle of water and wait about 20

minutes. If you’re still hungry it’s safe to say you should eat something.

Drinking more water helps you lose water weight.

Drinking more water also will minimize water retention, and bloating.

Whenever you don’t get and adequate an amount of water a day, your

body goes into survival mode which means it will start storing water

leaving you feeling bloated while actually increase your weight. Your

body doesn’t realize that there is running water inside your home, and

you are always withing walking distance of fresh water. When you aren’t

drinking enough your body will store it up so you can survive. This is very

very bad if you are trying to lose weight. Make sure to drink lots of water

so this doesn’t happen!

Nifty facts about water and your body.

Why do I always carry a bottle of water with me wherever I go, and

recommend all my readers do the same? Well when your body loses

roughly 1% of your body weight in water you feel thirsty. When you lose

5% of your body weight the symptoms you experience are being achy,

tired, and hot. At 10% water loss you will have kidney failure and delirium,

and at 20% water loss you die. Drinking water is very important to your

health, so make sure you are giving your body lots and lots of water! Try

to always keep a bottle of cold water with you wherever you go.

How much water should you be drinking everyday?

You need about 8 8oz glasses of water a day which equals out to about

64 oz every day. Also try and stay away from caffeine because it will

dehydrate you. I always try and drink about 2 glasses (beyond my 8

glasses) for every caffeinated drink I have, just to make sure my body

stays hydrated. Make sure to stay close to a bathroom! You will definitely

need it!

Drinking cold water can increase your metabolism.

And finally the biggest reason to drink lots of cold water (cold is the

important part) throughout the day, is because drinking 64oz of cold

water everyday will increase your metabolism by up to 30%. Yes you read

right 30%. The reason for this is because your body has to heat up the

cold water that you drink, and to do this it takes energy. Just by drinking

cold water your body has to produce more energy just to warm up the

water meaning you are burning more calories and are losing more weight!

Quick tip.

I like to keep a few bottles of water around the house in places whereIgo

a lot. My family knows not to touch them. I keep a bottle in my bathroom

in the medicine cabinet where my toothbrush is! Every morning when I

brush my teeth I see a bottle of water, and it really does help remind me

to drink up! I also keep a bottle on the kitchen table and on top of our tv!

If you are serious about losing weight, drinking more water is one of the

best things you can do to help yourself achieve your goals.
