Weight loss doesn’t have to be difficult, but it seems like everywhere you go people making weight loss out to be harder that it is. If you want to lose weight, the “secret” formula is (drum roll please) burning more calories than you consume. It is that simple. Of course we can both agree that simple and easy are two completely different things. Now this guide won’t give you the “body builder” look, but it will definitely get you down to your ideal weight, if you follow it correctly.
1. Walk
If you are serious about getting rig of your flabby gut wake up 30 min early and power walk around your block. Yep just walk. You don’t have to jog if you don’t want to. (Although you will achieve faster results by jogging.) Walking in the morning will wake your body up, and more importantly start your day off in a fat burning mode. Power walking / jogging everyday will increase your metabolism and help you burn more calories throughout your day.
2 Eat smaller portions.
You don’t have to starve yourself, or really deprive yourself of your favorite foods, just eat smaller portions. Instead of taking a second serving of spaghetti, grab a water and drink until you are full. You will be consuming a lot less calories, and if you combine this with walking or jogging around the neighborhood, you will start to see results. After you do this for about 2 weeks, your body will adjust and you will naturally eat less as a result, which effectively lowers your daily calloric intake.
3 Get enough sleep
Sleep is very crucial to weight loss. I recommend you try and get at least 8 hours of sleep a night. Your body needs proper sleep to rejuvinate, and heal itself. Not to mention when your body is rested it can burn calories more efficiently, and a rested body will give you more energy throughout the day.
4 Avoid unnecessary stress.
Stress actually can help the body store fat. Try and relax and just enjoy life in the moment instead of worrying about everything. Try not to worry about insignificant things. Most of the stuff we worry about isn’t important anyways, and there is no reason to let stress effect your weight loss.
5 Water.
Make sure to drink lots of water. I recommend you drink roughly 60 ox of water a day. Water will help your body fight harmfull toxins and if you are drinking cold water, it can increase your metabolism by 30%.
If you are ready to get started on your weight loss journey, start by walking in the mornings, and as you get comfortable move into jogging. Also try and eat smaller servings. Make sure you get at least 8 hours of sleep. Try and avoid unnecessary stress, and make sure you are drinking 64oz of water everyday. If you follow these guidelines, you WILL see results.
